Product Details

Silica-coated Lemon Yellow  PY 34 is a high-performance upgraded inorganic pigment modified with dense amorphous silica encapsulation. Compared with ordinary uncoated lemon yellow, it forms an inert physical barrier on pigment surfaces to effectively block ultraviolet rays, moisture and corrosive substances. Its light fastness is upgraded from Grade 2–3 to Grade 4, and outdoor weather resistance is significantly improved, effectively solving common defects of ordinary PY34 such as easy fading and aging. This product retains original high tinting strength and pure bright hue, with better chemical and thermal stability. It is widely used for outdoor coatings, plastics, delivering long-term stable color durability.

Important Note: The amorphous silica coating only serves as a physical barrier to improve light resistance, weather resistance and chemical resistance of the pigment. It does not change the chemical composition or eliminate the inherent carcinogenic and toxic properties of lead chromate (hexavalent chromium) components.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air at once. Keep breathing unobstructed. If cough, dyspnea or other discomforts occur, seek immediate medical attention.
Skin Contact: Immediately remove all contaminated clothing and footwear. Rinse affected skin with plenty of running clean water continuously for several minutes. Consult a doctor if skin irritation occurs.
Eye Contact: Flush eyes with plenty of clean water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek urgent medical treatment.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Flammability: Non-flammable inorganic pigment.
Suitable Extinguishing Media: Water spray, dry powder, foam, CO₂.
Hazardous Decomposition Products: Thermal decomposition or combustion will produce toxic and harmful fumes including chromium trioxide, lead oxide and heavy metal particulate matter.
Firefighter Protection: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective fire clothing.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Personal Precautions: Prevent dust generation and aerosol formation. Wear certified dust respiratory protection, chemical safety goggles and acid-base resistant protective gloves. Keep irrelevant personnel away from the spill area.
Spill Handling: Gently collect spilled powder with dust-free method, place into sealed and labeled hazardous material containers. Avoid sweeping violently to prevent secondary dust pollution.
Environmental Precautions: Strictly prevent the product from entering surface water, groundwater, soil and sewer systems. Report environmental leakage to local environmental department in time.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling: Operate in a well-ventilated workplace with local exhaust ventilation system installed. Strictly avoid dust inhalation and skin/eye contact. Prohibit eating, drinking and smoking during operation. Conduct post-operation cleaning strictly.
Storage: Store in dry, cool, ventilated and dust-proof warehouse. Keep containers tightly sealed. Isolate from strong acids, strong alkalis, reducing agents and combustible materials. Keep away from food, feed and daily necessities.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION

Engineering Controls: Local exhaust ventilation to control dust concentration.
Respiratory Protection: Wear N95 or above dust-proof respirator in normal dusty environment; wear positive pressure breathing apparatus in severe dust environment.
Eye Protection: Chemical safety goggles.
Hand Protection: Chemical resistant gloves.
Body Protection: Wear dedicated dust-proof and chemical-resistant work clothes to avoid long-term skin contact with powder.
